Two Bathrooms Transformed

What was involved?
I had a full size bathroom and a separate ensuite that hadn't been touched since the house had been built 20 years before and it was horrible. The two bathrooms were completely renovated with new showers, toilets, handbasins, tile, everything.

How did you choose Alan Doyle?
I saw Alan on the Pickapro website. I was impressed with his testimonials and I could tell from reading them that they were genuine. Alan came to the house, saw what he had to work with and explained that he would be able to do all of the work with his team. I had spoken to several other people about the job but they would only be able to do a portion of the work. They would have to get others to do things like the plumbing and the power shower. I chose Alan because I liked the fact that he could do it all and his price was very fair.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Alan Doyle?
I was hopeless at explaining what I wanted done. I just wanted a new, clean, white, bathroom.

Did Alan introduce new ideas?
Alan came up with everything and his ideas were fantastic. Alan changed the layout of the bathroom which made it look twice as large as it was before and narrowed down suitable tile choices which made it much easier to pick from. The floor and wall tile work that Alan carried out was beautiful. Alan helped me choose appropriate bathroom fixtures like the showers, toilets and handbasins and also recommended taking out the shower tray in the ensuite and making it a wet area. Alan didn't steer me wrong with anything.

How did the project run?
It was painless! With regards to what was needed, the fixtures, showers, tiles, whatever, I didn't have to leave the house to go look at anything. Once the decisions were made, Alan sourced and got everything delivered to the house, he really made it easy on me. Alan and his team were here every morning for 8 days and the work didn't stop, they were very efficient. The two guys working with Alan were equally professional and the finished result is beautiful, I couldn't have expected anything better. The work would have been completed even quicker except that I got Alan to do some extra work that was outside of what we had originally agreed.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Alan Doyle?
The biggest benefit was that Alan is so gifted, professional and the work he did for me is beautiful. Everyone I bring up to see the bathrooms now just say, "wow"!

What's your favourite part now?
The big bathroom. It was such an eyesore before that I didn't want anyone to come upstairs and use it, now I'm nearly ushering them upstairs to see it.

Would you recommendAlan Doyle to others?
I'll be recommending Alan on to everyone I know.

Any tips for other people?
My advice is that if you want your bathroom done to not look any further than Alan. He's a true professional and he really knows what he's talking about.
