When was the work done?
In November 2018.
What was involved?
PG Bathrooms fitted a downstairs bathroom into the space underneath the stairs.
How did you choose PG Bathrooms and Plumbing?
Pickapro website came up when I did a search for bathroom companies. I saw his profile and I read the reviews. They all sounded excellent so I gave him a call.
I had called a few people but Paul came and visited the house straight away. He really inspired confidence that he could do the job. Some of the others had kind of said, "Yes, well, maybe I have to do this or I have to do that." He didn't. We had a few conversations because we had a gas meter and an electricity fuse board in the space. He gave us guidelines as to what to do and all of that. He didn't come up with any problems. He came up with solutions.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Paul Gallagher?
Not particularly, no. All we really wanted was to know if it was possible because we really just needed a downstairs toilet. We were open to ideas and he talked through some ideas with us.
Did Paul introduce new ideas?
Yes. He did. He brought in some samples but he didn't push anything. He left it entirely up to us to choose and he said if we wanted to go and have a look and pick something ourselves, he would pick it up for us. There was no problem that way.
How did the project run?
Excellent. Paul turned up at the time he said every day. If he didn't come, one of his workmen was coming for the day, whether it will be the plasterer or the carpenter or whatever. Everybody turned up and they cleaned up after themselves and they were all excellent. Paul was always at the end of the phone as well if there was any issue. He really managed everything and we were free to just get on our lives.
I was very happy with the workmanship. It's a fabulous job, yes. I can't believe he was able to do what he did in the space to be honest and nobody else can either.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using PG Bathrooms and Plumbing?
I think the fact that he didn't come to us with any problems. If there were any problems, he just sorted them. Paul was very, very pleasant to deal with. He didn't intrude in any way at all.
Would you recommend PG Bathrooms and Plumbing to others?
Without a doubt, I would. I actually have recommended him to a few people who have another job like that. He has very high standards.
Any tips for other people?
I suppose I find that going on to the pickapro website was great because I didn't know anybody. We'd got a big bathroom job done a couple years ago and it had turned out more expensive than we thought. That was a great thing with Paul. The price he gave at the beginning didn't change.
