New Carpet After Flood Damage

David was the one person who stood out from all the people I dealt with. He's really all about giving 100% service.

Customer reference from Margaret Rafferty, Sandymount, Dublin 4

When was the work done?
The work was done in the late summer of 2012.

What was involved?
The downstairs of my house had been flooded and I needed new carpet, wooden floors and the furniture restored.

How did you choose Value Flooring and Furniture?
I asked the guys who took away my furniture for restoration if they knew of a reliable carpet supplier who I could contact and they recommended David. David came to the house, surveyed the situation and we talked about what needed to be done.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to David O'Hanlon?
I knew the carpets needed to be replaced but I wanted David's input and suggestions.

Did David introduce new ideas?
David recommended the appropriate quality of carpet for a given area and suggested new colours.

How did the project run?
It was excellent. David really knows his business and he's very much in tune with his customers. David's service from start to finish was so reliable and stress free during a period where a whole jumble of events were going on. There were delays with regards to the insurance and getting other work carried out before the flooring could be done. These things were happening faster than I could record them and it was a case of two steps forward, one step back. It was a testament to David's patience and staying power because he stayed with the project until it was done and he never rushed me for payment. Out of the whole experience I had, David was the one person who stood out from all the people I dealt with. He's really all about giving 100% service.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Value Flooring and Furniture?
The biggest benefit was that I could rely on David. Peace of mind is very important and right from the beginning I felt that I could count on him. With David, you really get genuine upfront service.

What's your favourite part now?
All of it!

Would you recommend Value Flooring and Furniture to others?
I would have no hesitation in recommending David to anyone, anywhere. David was so accommodating and he really knows what he's talking about. He won't mislead you or put you in the wrong direction.

Any tips for other people?
Don't allow yourself to be rushed into making decisions. When you're in a vulnerable state like I was after the flood, it's very easy to be make mistakes. Take your time and do it right. I was depending on the people working for me to do the right thing and my trust in David was honored 100%.
