Turned Out Perfectly

What was involved?
Darren fixed a leak we had in our shower. It involved taking off all the tiles, fixing the leaks, tanking the area, reinsulating the wall with cement backer board and putting the tiles back up.

How did you choose TileCraft?
We needed someone pretty urgently on account of the leak. I just went online and just googled "recommended tiler" and Darren came up. He had references from other customers, was available for repair work and was local to us so I gave him a call. Darren came and looked at it before the weekend and had it all done before the weekend was over. It turned our perfectly. To be honest, I was very glad to get someone. A lot of companies don't want that kind of job, they want to do new bathrooms but Darren is happy to take on repair work.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Darren Kearns?
We just knew that we needed it fixed. The room was actually done only a few years ago but it turned out that it wasn't done properly. They had just put down the shower tray and put expanding foam around to "seal" it.

Did Darren introduce new ideas?
Yes, Darren recommended that we redid it all properly - he tanked the area and used cement blocks instead of plasterboard.

How did the project run?
Really well. Darren did a great job matching everything. Luckily, we still had spare tiles but Darren even contacted the tile shop where we'd bought them to find out exactly what shade of grout we had bought. Then he went down to the shop and picked it up. Darren was very conscious of clean up too - very careful at covering things and keeping doors closed so that the dust didn't go everywhere.

And there was no delaying. For example, on Saturday, he came at 8 and worked through until 3. He just wanted to get in and get it done and get out.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using TileCraft?
I know now that it's been done properly. We don't expect any problems but Darren made a point of saying to contact him if there were any issues. Also, considering all the work he did for us, the price was very reasonable too.

Would you recommend TileCraft to others?
Definitely yes, I have recommended him to other people already. And I'm delighted to have found someone reliable that's happy to do smaller jobs. I've already earmarked a few other jobs for Darren
