When was the work done?
We had a couple of pieces of work done, but the main body of it was done in Summer 2017. What was involved?
Darren insulated the house on the inside by fittings fitting warm boards as well as plastering, painting and redecorating. He's also refitted and tiled a wet room for us. We've had Darren in for a few different jobs.
How did you choose TileCraft?
We found him online - were looking for somebody for and Darren was one of the people who replied to our enquiry. He came, had a look at what needed to be done, talked us through it and then he went ahead and did it. We'd gotten quotes from a few different people but Darren was the one that was most engaged and gave us the best quote as well.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Darren Kearns?
No, not really.
Did Darren introduce new ideas?
We don't know this area so we relied heavily on Darren in terms of telling us what we needed. We gave him the broad specs of what we wanted to do and he was able to advise us on the thickness of warm board that you need, the best type of plaster to use and all that. To be honest, with Darren, we just trusted him, and it made it easier, really to hand it over to him. But he left it up to us in terms of what we'd like in terms of colors and design.
How did the project run?
Really well. On every occasion that I've used Darren, he's excellent. And his workmanship is excellent too.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using TileCraft?
Biggest benefit, I suppose is just knowing someone that you can rely on. We've had problems in the past with a builder which made us a bit wary but Darren has restored our faith. He's a friendly guy, and he's really good at what he does, and he's very professional in his approach as well.
Would you recommend TileCraft to others?
Absolutely, yes, without hesitation. Darren's really good.
