A Room Outside

What was involved?
We had quite a big patio area, but we wanted to create more of a "room outside" and that's exactly what Brian did for us. He created a room outside, it doesn't have a roof of course, but it's totally related to the house and the style inside the house. It doesn't feel like a patio on the outside of the house. Brian did both the design and project managed the construction.

There was also another area at the front of the house that we were never quite happy with how it looked. Brian came up with a design for that which would tie the whole thing together, and he completed that project as well.

How did you choose Brian O Hara Design?
We heard about Brian through a company that did garden maintenance for us. We spoke to one or two other landscape designers, but we found that Brian certainly listened to what we were trying to achieve and was creative with the ideas he came up with. He was the first person that really got what we wanted, and we believe that he certainly achieved it.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Brian O' Hara?
Yes, we had particular ideas in mind. Also, we were very clear about the style of our house and he wanted the garden to be a continuation of that.

Did Brian introduce new ideas?
He did yes. Brian is very design focused, and he is very creative. He's really an artist. Brian approaches garden design from a much more artistic and architectural view than anyone we had ever dealt with before.

Brian was very proactive in taking our concerns into consideration and really delivering what we wanted and we're very happy with it.

How did the project run?
Brian is totally reliable. We found him terrific to deal with. We found that Brian would certainly go the extra mile to make sure that you're happy with the result. He came in on budget and was very proactive. If any problem arose, Brian would always come back and talk to you about it.

We're very particular about the standard of work, and we found Brian absolutely excellent.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Brian O Hara Design?
His understanding of what we wanted, and his ability from a design perspective to be able to deliver.

Would you recommend Brian O Hara Design to others?
Absolutely, yes. We're very happy and we're now using him again for another project.
