What types of jobs has Bernardo done for you?
He's painted the outside of our house and most of the interior, put in a foundation for a shed, changed locks and cleaned our carpets. The painting was a large job but a lot of the others were handyman type jobs around the house. In 2012 he did the garden for us which included the design, flower beds, planting, a water fountain and garden lighting.

How did you choose PCG Services?
Bernardo has a contract doing cleaning at my work. I chose Bernardo to do the work because I can trust him absolutely. You always feel a little bit nervous having men in the house you don't know doing work but I don't have that problem with Bernardo.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Bernardo?
No, we needed help with ideas for the painting as well as the garden. All I knew about the garden was that I wanted it to be low maintenance.

Did Bernardo introduce new ideas?
He did yes. Bernardo helped us to choose the paint colours and he had lots of ideas about the garden. He drew up designs and added planters and a water feature, neither of which we had thought of before. We have dogs, so it was important for Bernardo to leave a bit of grass for them as well. It turned out brilliant and I love the garden.

How do the projects run?
I would say excellent. Bernardo has to have everything perfect. I've told him before that something was fine but he'll say "no, it's not perfect" then he'll make it so. Bernardo is a very hard worker who won't even stop to have a cup of coffee, he prefers to keep going and work and work and work. Most of the time you don't even know he's in the house, he's unobtrusive and is very, very tidy. It's brilliant. Another reason why I really trust Bernardo is that he won't take on a job that he doesn't feel qualified to do. He'll get the right person in if it's needed.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using PCG Services?
I like the fact that I've found a company I can trust who can do such a wide range of projects around the house.

What's your favourite part now?
The garden. Before it was basically just grass and we had nothing in it. The garden is much nicer now plus it's low maintenance which is what I wanted.

Would you recommend PCG Services to others?
I would indeed and in fact I have. I've recommended Bernardo to other family members who have since used him and they're all very happy with the work.
