When was the work done?
Barry has been doing electrical work for me a good many years now. I run Daybreak on Main Street in Clonee, Co Meath and Day To Day in Ongar Village, Dublin 15. What type of work is involved?
For the business, Barry looks after the fire alarms, service and general electrical maintenance. He also did the full installs on several commercial units that needed to be fitted out. Two years ago Barry handled the electrical work that needed to be done on a house of mine. So yes, Barry's done a lot of work for me.
How did you choose Agar Electrical?
I found out about Barry because he was a customer in the shop. When we were chatting one day I found out that he was an electrician so when I got stuck one day, I gave him a ring and he sorted me out on short notice. He did me a favour and I've been using Barry since then.
Do you have definite ideas in mind before you speak to Barry about a job?
I'm fairly technically minded so I would usually have an idea of what needs to be done.
Does Barry introduce new ideas?
He does, yes. In general, I know what needs to be done but I do rely on Barry's advice.
How do the projects run?
I've never had any problems with Barry. He's the first person I would ring if I had an electrical problem. Before the current economic climate, it was difficult sometimes to get a tradesman to turn up when they said they would. Regardless of how busy Barry was, he always came when he he said he would.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Agar Electrical?
The fact that he's local. There have been times when I've needed a problem sorted on short notice and Barry looks after me as soon as he can.
Would you recommend Agar Electrical to others?
I would not have a problem at all recommending Barry.
Any tips for other people?
Always try and speak to a customer that they've done work for in the past. That's your best barometer on what to go by and who to trust. They'll give you the good and the bad.
