Brilliant Bathroom Renovation

What was involved?
Renovating the bathroom. Build Right stripped the old bathroom and put in a new one - new tiles, new fittings, everything! They took the bath out and put in a big shower. They also had to move some pipes because we didn't put the shower in the same place as the old bath taps.

How did you choose Build Right?
Lee actually came recommended by a friend of a friend. They had work done by them before. It's always good to get a recommendation. I got a couple of quotes but I was the happiest with Lee. He’s a local lad and he's a nice guy to talk to and he's trustworthy.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Lee O' Gorman?
Yes. I did but because I wanted the plumbing moved but I didn't know what way it would work. Lee helped me and gave me a few ideas and then I made my decision.

Did Lee introduce new ideas?
He suggested paneling instead of tiling. It looks like tiles but it's much easier to keep clean than grout. I went with it and I was extremely happy with it.

How did the project run?
They were very clean. I just hate the dust and the chaos when there's builders in the house but it was fine. They stuck painting sheets down outside the bathroom and stuff like that. There wasn't too much mess and they cleaned up at the end of every day. Obviously, it’s an inconvenience getting building work done but it was kept to the minimum. They were done within a week really. And it turned out brilliant, I was really happy with it.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Build Right?
Well, A, that Lee was local and B, he was contactable. If I had questions, he said it was fine to just ring him whenever I liked. Lee is very approachable. You can have a chat with him and he'll go through things and explain things properly to you.

What's your favourite part now?
Yes, I love the shower.

Would you recommend Build Right to others?
Yes, Lee's very polite and he's a great time keeper. He does what he said he’s going to do and when he says he’ll do it. I had no problems at all with him and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody.

Any tips for other people?
Just make sure you get somebody who's dedicated to actually being there for the time that is planned for. You get some people and they've a few jobs on so your job gets sidelined and things take a long time.
