What was involved?
We bought a new house and wanted a good bit of work done. Firstly Gintaras did our two bathrooms. He completely regutted our upstairs bathroom, retiled it and installed new fittings. He also tiled the new bathroom downstairs, put in the plumbing and wired and installed the appliances.

Gintaras also floored the whole house and he built a floating unit for the TV and all the various boxes.

How did you choose Fox Home Improvements?
I knew someone who had worked with Gintaras before and he came highly recommended. So we decided to give him a go for the first job anyway - to tile the bathroom. Gintaras was so reliable, so efficient and we were so happy with the job that we just kept getting him to come back!

Did Gintaras introduce new ideas?
We knew what we wanted for the bathroom and floors and he just went and did it. However, Gintaras designed the unit for the TV himself. He drew it, showed us the design, then went and built it and painted it. Gintaras would always give suggestions, especially in terms of practical issues like layout, function and materials.

How did the project run?
I couldn't recommend Gintaras higher. We work during the week so he used to come at the weekends for us. He'd say he'd be there at 7 in the morning and he would be there right on time and would work through the whole day. You'd literally have to force him to take lunch. He knew I didn't know anything about any of this stuff, so he'd go and buy all the materials which saved us a lot of hassle.

Gintaras left the house perfect everytime. The workmanship was great too.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Fox Home Improvements?
It's hard to pick one. We'd just bought a house and we work full-time so you're trying to do everything as cost efficiently and as time efficiently as possible. So the first big benefit was that he was very good value for what he did. The second big benefit was that we only had limited time when we could be there to let him in. Knowing that we could give him a time to be there and that he would be there at that time and get the job done was huge. We never once had to call him and say where are you. He was so trustworthy, we could just leave him there and he'd lock up.

Would you recommend Fox Home Improvements to others?
I already have - to about 5 people! If I had something else to do, he'd definitely be the first one I'd call.

Any tips for other people?
Picking the right person is the biggest thing. We spoke to a few people but Gintaras was definitely the one.
