When was the work done?
The work was carried out in the summer of 2015. What was involved?
We had recently moved into a house and the garden was in a bit of a state. The ground was sloped, waterlogged in places, there were a lot of stones and the soil quality was very poor. Diarmuid leveled off the ground, put in a drainage system and brought in a rototiller to improve things. From the patio, Diarmuid added sleepers that stepped up to a circular grassy space and planted area.
How did you choose New Seasons Landscaping?
Diarmuid was recommended to me by my mom. He did her front garden, put in a new driveway and built a patio in back. It was all very nice. I gave Diarmuid a ring, he came over for a chat and we discussed a few ideas.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Diarmuid O'Sullivan?
For the front garden I had no idea and for the back, I just knew that I wanted a grassy area.
Did Diarmuid introduce new ideas?
He did, yes. Diarmuid and I discussed various ideas of what we could do with the garden and what the different cost options would be between them.
How did the project run?
It was all very easy and friendly. Diarmuid and his team were reliable, did what they said they would do and there were no delays or surprises. They were also conscientious. We didn't have a side entrance leading to the back garden which meant that they needed to keep bringing things in through the house. They were always aware about that and made sure to keep sweeping up. Little things like that were nice.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using New Seasons Landscaping?
The biggest benefit was that Diarmuid and his team could do it all. They knew what would work and look well in a given space, where I wouldn't have had as much of an idea.
What's your favourite part now?
My favourite part are the sleepers that step up to the grass and planted area of the garden. I also like the fact that the planting space is nice but low maintenance.
Would you recommend New Seasons Landscaping to others?
I would, yes.
