The work was done in the spring of 2011. What was involved?
We wanted a new surgery and reception area for our dental practice, Pearls Orthodontic Clinic. We needed some partition walls taken down. We also wanted to put in some presses and sinks and install more chairs. It involved general construction work as well as some plumbing and electrical work.
How did you choose Clancon Build?
I found Anthony by looking online. I chose Anthony because I thought his quote was quite competitive and he also presented himself professionally. I had spoken to a few other builders to get a feel for what might be involved and what the cost would be. Anthony's quote was in the middle, but it was his professionalism I liked.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Anthony Clancy?
Based on what our needs were we did have an idea of what we wanted. We needed things laid out in a particular way because we have different clinicians working together. We mapped it out for Anthony's team and they got on with it.
Did Anthony introduce new ideas?
Anthony did have ideas but they were more to do with the practicalities of the construction end of things - plumbing, electrics, things like that.
How did the project run?
It finished on schedule which was our main concern. We needed to close for four days and it was imperative that we reopen on time. The whole job took 3-4 days and we were able to reopen on time for the following weeks' patients.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Clancon Build?
The biggest benefit for us was having someone you could rely on to get things done on time. For us, the time scale and getting things done on time was the main thing. We needed to get on with our own business.
Would you recommend Clancon Build to others?
I would definitely recommend Anthony. He was professional and I found him very easy to deal with.
Any tips for other people?
I think if people are planning a project that they need to do their planning beforehand so that they can maximise the time the builders are here as far as efficiency and productivity. You don't want them showing up and not really knowing what the job is. We had a very clear idea of what we wanted to do and they were able to get straight to work.
