When was the work done?
In 2008, over 3 months. What was involved?
It was a total refurbishment, nearly a new house build. Polaris knocked down the old house, except for the front wall. Most of the back of the house was gutted. Then they started from scratch and built a new house. He also did a sloped driveway at the front and sandstone paving and lighting at the back.
How did you choose Polaris Builders?
I saw Polaris doing work for a neighbour of my brother. What drew my attention to Andrew first was their tidy up, I could see the guys hosing down the front of the house. They even washed my brother's car and they never left stuff lying around. I just inquired and it went from there. I had spoken to about 3 other builders about the work I wanted done. I did my homework and Andrew came out of the best overall including on price.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Andrew Rudenko?
Yes, we had architect plans to work off.
Did Andrew introduce new ideas?
Yes, he came up with some great ideas himself, like batons on the walls outside which look perfect.
How did the project run?
Everything was bang on. Timing, cleaning and workmanship were excellent.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Polaris Builders?
The workmanship. Everything you asked for you got. If I came up with an idea and ran it by him and he liked it, well there was no problem doing it.
What's your favourite part now?
The whole house is what I always wanted. Though we do like sitting in the sunroom, that's our favourite part of the house. Upstairs is beautiful the way it's laid out. The whole package is good.
Would you recommend Polaris Builders to others?
I would definitely recommend Andrew to anybody, in a heartbeat. They were a great bunch of guys, very helpful. The tiling, the plumbing, everything is perfect.
