Indian Sandstone Patio

What was involved?
Eugene built a 40 square metre, indian sandstone patio in our back garden.

How did you choose Genius Garden Improvements?
We found out about Eugene from the pickapro website. We had spoken to others about the project but chose Eugene because he seemed the most helpful with his suggestions and advice. He showed us photographs of work that he had done and brought samples of about ten different types of stone that we could choose from. That was helpful and something none of the other companies we spoke to did.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Eugene Iarmurati?
No, my wife and I were a blank canvass.

Did Eugene introduce new ideas?
Eugene was so helpful in giving us ideas and options we could choose from. The photos and the samples made it easier and between the three of us we were able to come up with a design for the patio and the type of stone we would use.

How did the project run?
It was excellent. Eugene started the work on a Monday and had it completed on Friday. That was important to us because we have two boys who were planning to use the back garden area for a birthday party on Saturday. Eugene promised to have the work finished on time and he did. I had been concerned because the whole area in the back garden was uneven and I didn't want any water puddling up. Eugene leveled everything and corrected it to a "T". Water doesn't pool anywhere now.

Not only were we impressed with Eugene's work and the fact that he finished it so quickly but with his cleanliness as well. Recently, we had an extension put onto our house and the builders were an absolute nightmare in tidying up after themselves. Eugene and his team were different. At the end of every day, the back area was tidied up as well as the front driveway.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Genius Garden Improvements?
The biggest benefit for my wife and I was the guidance and help that Eugene gave us. We really didn't know where to start or what to pick that would suit our situation. With Eugene's help we came up with a plan and his work was amazing. We had paid to have a patio installed but Eugene added a few extras free of charge. He put in a beautiful granite border and built a step up to a new extension, conservatory that we had recently had built. I really feel like Eugene treated the work as if he was doing it for himself. It was superb and my wife and I were very impressed.

What's your favourite part now?
The whole finish of it! Everything about Eugene's work was incredible, including going the extra mile by adding a granite border and a step, both of which were free.

Would you recommend Genius Garden Improvements to others?
Most definitely, yes.
