How long have you been working with O' Flaherty Construction on construction projects?
We started working together about 20 years ago. What is involved?
I run an architectural services company. O' Flaherty Construction has been the main contractor on many projects with us over the years. The projects are almost exclusively houses extensions, renovations and attic conversions.
How did you start using O' Flaherty Construction?
I don't remember exactly. Probably one of my clients may have gotten him as their builder and following on from that project, I would then have started including him in suitable calls to tender.
Have you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Pat O' Flaherty?
I always say to my builders, "If there's any way you want to improve it, or you want to make an alteration, that's fine. Just run it past me first. If it complies with building regulations, then we can make the alteration as long as the client is happy.". But generally my drawings are so good that Pat doesn't have to make changes to them!
How did the project run?
Reliability is good. Workmanship is second to none. I've never had any issues there. In terms of snagging, Pat will always goes back and finish off what the client asks him to do. Of course, if there's extras, Pat will charge for them. And schedulewise, he's generally on time or close to it.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using O Flaherty Construction?
Yes, the one thing I find with Pat is he does one job at a time. He doesn't take on two or three jobs at a time. And when Pat is on a job, he's on the job all day every day.
Would you recommend O' Flaherty Construction to others?
Yes. I have done frequently and I will continue to recommend him. Pat's got a good crew around him and they seem to be with him for a while. Pat is accommodating and he gets through stuff.
