Always On The Project

What type of work is involved?
I run an architectural & building surveying practice in Leixlip. We've worked on many projects with Pat over the years. The projects are all domestic - anything from a sunroom, front entrance porch, two storey side extension to the refurbishment of a house.

How did you choose O' Flaherty Construction?
As far as I can remember we had a mutual client at the time, found that we could work well together and stayed in touch from then. I give him options to tender for suitable projects. Likewise, Pat has referred clients to me over the years who were at early stages of planning and needed an architect.

Does Pat introduce new ideas?
Yes, obviously Pat is working to my plans which are detailed in terms of design and but he's very good at problem solving technical and construction issues. He has a lot of experience and ingenuity.

How do the projects run?
Pat is always on the project. If he's not there when I pull in on the job, I can guarantee you his jeep will arrive within 5 minutes. The workmanship and quality is good and he's got some good people working for him. He provides a good, decent quality.

Schedulewise, I know Pat will be finished on schedule or within a week or so of that. He runs a tight operation to keep costs down. So unlike a larger construction company, he can't always throw resources at at a project to get it done right on schedule if changes come in. Having said that, a small operation suits a lot of homeowners who don't want to pay all the extra costs that come with the bigger operations.

Another important thing is that Pat always seems to come in on the price. It's rare that I see Pat at the end of the job with a big list of extras. And if there is an extra, there will be a good reason for it.
