Work was carried out in Mar and Apr 2018 What was involved?
Full bathroom renovation, dining room and kitchen wall taken down, stove installed, walls skimmed, ceiling plastered, new electrical outlets throughout house, new light fittings, spot lights, light switches, internal door frames and doors replaced,wooden flooring and laminate flooring, skirting boards, painting and wallpapering, new attic opening and stairs installed.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Pawel Korytkowski?
I had a good idea of what I wanted to have done before looking for a builder.
Did Pawel introduce new ideas?
Pawel was great at suggesting ideas, his attention to detail was brilliant from coordinating the colour screws to the doors, to ensuring every angle was cut perfectly, to choosing complimentary mosaic tiles for the bathroom recessed shelf. He also came up with the design to use tiles around the outside of the fireplace as a feature which I love (I had only asked for the tiles on the inside).
How did the project run?
The project ran perfectly, there were no delays and even with me piling on extra work they managed to fit me in very quickly. There was nothing I couldn't (and didn't) ask, nothing was too much trouble and the team were really friendly and all took pride in their work which showed in the end results. The team turned up first thing in the morning, every morning! Never late and always worked full days. Never knocking off early. Pawel was always reachable by phone, text and email. I was never left waiting for replies and as we hadn't moved into the house until after the work was done that was reassuring. We ended up with a brand new house which was unrecognisable from what we started with and for a very reasonable price
What was the biggest benefit to you of using PKBuilder?
By far the best thing about going with PK builder was being able to get everything done by one team, I didn't have to go looking for separate tradesmen for different jobs. Plumbing, tiling, electrics, carpentry, building, painting, wallpapering and more under one roof was so handy but more importantly the quality of finish was not compromised at all. I love shopping online and was able to buy unusual fixtures and fittings as well as great bargains which Pawel and the team then fit for me. Making my design more unique and saving money too.
What's your favourite part now?
It's really hard to pick a favourite bit but the bathroom would probably be my favourite part of the house now. I love when visitors ask to use it! Followed by my stove and the doors which have really transformed the whole look of the house.
Would you recommend PKBuilder to others?
I cannot recommend PK builder enough. Not only is their work impeccable and carried out to the highest standard but they're a lovely group of lads too. Very pleasant and easy to get on with. It made the renovation a pleasant experience with no stress at all
Any tips for other people?
My tips for anyone doing any kind of renovation work are simple enough. First thing would be, if you're ordering anything online make sure you have it before your builder starts as my only delay was waiting for online deliveries. My second tip would be for anyone buying bathroom taps and sink don't forget to measure the length of the faucet! My third tip would be to try andenjoy it. Having had builders in the past where it was just pure stress I know that's a hard one sometimes but this time I really enjoyed picking tiles, colours, fixtures and fittings etc and seeing it all come together. We love our new home and can't thank Pawel and the boys enough
